I bumped into Peta Hall, famed fireball of our creative economy the other day at the County Inspirations art show at Black Prince Winery and learned of her downsizing.
It’s not like she is retiring but she is selling her Bloomfield home and pottery studio to take a sabbatical and save the world or at least help those less fortunate in Africa. She is coming back in a year to continue her work, but without the studio / gallery set up she has now.
This blog is not intended to be a direct sales piece for real-estate but it intended to point out opportunities. So if you are an artist, looking to be located on Bloomfield’s main street with what I am told is a larger than what is now allowed studio (due to grandfathering) then maybe this one’s for you?
If not, spread the word. I certainly hope we can acquire another creative fireball to carry the torch that Peta has lit over the years. We wish Peta luck and look forward to her return. We should be thankful to Peta as the mother of the Prince Edward County Studio Tour and Maker’s Hand among many other wonderful and creative endeavors in Prince Edward County.
Here is the link to her property.

While I knew the house was up for sale and Peta was involved in charity work abroad, her sabbatical is news to me! I’ve helped her develop a Web site for one of her African charities – http://GhanaCoop4Women.com Best of luck, Peta!
