The Maker’s Hand is a Prince Edward County Arts Council event. This annual show, hosts a colourful and bustling marketplace of internationally renowned artisans from Ontario and Quebec offering unique holiday gifts and affordable original creations in a variety of styles and mediums.
The 2013 show features a wide selection of innovative merchandise such as funky hand-made hats, fine jewellery, incredible beadwork, exotic pottery, blown and sculpted glass, intricate wearable art and mind-blowing metal works. Our artisans work in such media as clay and glass, photography, wood, metal, fibre art, and so much more.
New to the show this year are Brenda and Ray Anderson of Sunny Side Up Leathers, Cambridge Ontario. Brenda says “Ray and I have been full time craftspeople for our entire adult lives. Over the years we have dropped many shows and are very discriminating about the ones we choose to do. When I was invited to apply to The Maker’s Hand , I immediately checked out the website and was totally impressed by the quality of the artisans and the way they were presented. We are excited to be participating in the 2013 show.”
